Meet Leslie

Integrating Art Therapy & Holistic Wellness

¡Hola y bienvenidos! Hi and welcome! I'm Leslie.

I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to show up as our whole selves—not just the parts we think are acceptable. My role isn't to tell you who you should be, but to walk alongside you as you reconnect with yourself, make sense of your experiences, and create a life that feels more aligned with who you truly are.

As a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT), Board Certified Art Therapist (ATR-BC), Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapist (KAP), and Reiki Practitioner, my approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and holistic. I integrate creativity, evidence-based therapeutic modalities, mindfulness, and other holistic practices because I believe therapy isn't one-size-fits-all. Together, we'll find an approach that feels right for you.

I work with folks of all ages navigating Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, relationship challenges, life transitions, identity exploration, grief, spirituality, and the lasting impact of systemic and intergenerational trauma. I also enjoy working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, BIPOC communities, and people in polyamorous or consensually non-monogamous relationships, offering an affirming space where you don't have to explain or minimize who you are.

As a first-generation Latina with Indigenous ancestry from Cuzcatlán (El Salvador) and Borikén (Puerto Rico), I know how deeply culture, family, and identity shape our experiences. My own background has taught me the importance of honoring our stories while making space for healing, growth, and self-compassion. I strive to create a therapeutic relationship where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and respected.

I earned my Master of Arts in Creative Arts Therapy Counseling from Hofstra University and my Bachelor of Science in Visual Arts from SUNY New Paltz. Over the years, I've worked in inpatient behavioral health settings with folks of all ages, and individuals with disabilities. These experiences continue to shape my trauma-informed, collaborative approach to care.

Outside of therapy, I'm the founder of Cool Beans Apothecary, a holistic metaphysical pop-up shop that allows me to explore my love of nature & community. You'll usually find me outdoors, laughing, dancing, making candles, knitting, or spending time with my dog, Zuko, and my rescue cats, Henny and Nova.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply ready for something to change, I'm here to support you with curiosity, compassion, and care. Healing isn't about becoming someone new—it's about coming home to yourself.

T.H.

Leslie came into my life and helped me deal with severe gender issues. Her calming approach and creative art therapy taught me to be unapologetic about who I am. She listens intently and formalizes solutions. Unbeknownst  to her at the time, she literally talked me off the ledge, she saved my life!! Leslie convinced me to know that I was not alone and helped point out my strengths and made me believe in myself. She found "safe spaces" for me to express who I am and be among others like me.  If your goal is to mentally and physically get better, I highly recommend that you seek her services!!
